Programs & Community Outreach
Freedom Corps is an international organization committed to enhancing the lives of Veterans and First Responders, their families, and communities with effective tools and solutions.
Reinforcing Personal Values

A vital function of the Freedom Corps is to promote personal values using a common-sense, non-religious moral code called The Way to Happiness. The code comprises 21 basic precepts and is available in a booklet and online course. Freedom Corps chapters and Veterans groups around the country have used The Way to Happiness to enhance the quality of life of individuals and communities.
Improving Life Skills

Freedom Corps mentors utilize free online courses to help Veterans, First Responders and their families in all areas of life.
The courses contain practical tools for organizing a business, communicating more effectively, resolving conflicts, raising children, and many other topics.
Community Projects Collaboration

Freedom Corps collaborates with other Veteran-focused agencies and organizations to meet specific needs, with a focus on providing the resources needed to achieve project goals and objectives. Recent projects include resettlement assistance to former Afghanistan interpreters and their families in California’s Mojave Desert and partnering with the Community Service Foundation located in Pinellas County, Florida, to successfully advocate for a new ordinance allowing nonprofit organizations to construct and manage Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) and other affordable housing units for veterans.
Substance Abuse Recovery

Veterans
There are many factors unique to military service that can lead to addiction, including mental trauma from combat, physical injuries, and even the stress of readjusting to civilian life.
Toxic Exposure Detox

Military service members and First Responders can come in contact with hazardous chemicals and materials that can cause serious health conditions and even death. Recent studies show that a unique, closely supervised detoxification program can improve the mental and physical health of individuals who have been exposed to harmful substances.
